December 7th,

My last paper ended, and so we decided to pop by vivo to catch a movie and ring in the last of our holidays! ♫

Me and Jan dressed up a bit, cos it's been a long time since we got to do that =P

We went window shopping, whilst waiting for the movie.. and we tried on boots!! and sunglasses!! haha so fun.. but i didn't take photos of that =P

We went to this shoe shop where the layout was so confusing. Just look at jan's expression:

The shoes there were really O.o.. very erm, blingbling...

anyway, we proceeded down to kim gary for our dinner!! jan had a craving for cheese baked rice =D

Headed down to bakerz inn after that cos firstly, janice had a craving for chocolate cake, and secondly, we mistook the timing for our movie so we had another hour to waste away..

let's see, we had a really really rich chocolate/coffee cake called sumatra, and 3 tapas! good value for money by the way.. $9.80 for three tapas. =D

Sumatra! really rich, really yummy!

They only serve mineral water there, so you've gotta pay for water. But because the cakes there are rich, its advisable to bring some water, or else, complain =D

Their panna cotta was really good (much better than ours =D) but their caramel was too bitter, so it totally kills the taste of the panna cotta imo...

Seriously. the only things worth watching for are the deamons and the effects, but other than that, the plot, the characters, everything was messed up and it just leaves the viewers going 'huh' at the end of the movie... wasted my 9 dollars .... =''(

so because it left such a bad taste in our mouths, the girls decided to get some supper in the form of Macs!!

Amidst the exam fever, we (me, dy, wen, jan. fangz, pooja!, matt!, tat's chin!) went jogging!!! it was TORTUROUS, we jogged in nus following the A2 route!!!! i almost died before i reached pgp and i wanted to hop on the last bus but i'm glad i didn't.. at least it helps us lose weight!! we're all growing fat with all the food we've had, now it's pay back time..

my dear ladies do think twice before putting that piece of nugget into your mouth.. that will take the upslope from sheares to TH to burn.. and that extra scoop of rice with gravy takes the entire journey from arts to science to burn at a jogging pace..

but it was monumental because we got jan!!! and wen!!! to jog.. they haven jog since the cows came home.. well done girls!!

Ok, here I am in the law library, when my mind wanders off to www.yellowscramblyeggs.blogspot.com, and then I realize I hvn’t put my 2 cents worth in it. So here it goes…

Every now and then, we find the most amazing friendships in people we’ve never thought we would.
Sometimes it takes a little, or perhaps not so little, tribulation, before we get to it.
Sometimes it’s just a matter of opening our hearts to one another.
Each of us here have our own stories to tell, much of which we could definitely live without.
But hey! Look where we are now, the ‘lao nu rens’ of the block, yet, if I might say, there lies a gem in all of us, something that others may not have.
All the cooking escapades, the spontaneous outings to MOS, auntea parties, bday surprises, ‘JC’ noodle-house days… these are what brought us a lot closer..
So in a way, we should thank the presence of the induction cooker shouldn’t we? And of coz wendy, the proud owner.. heehee =)

At times now, as cliché as it may sound,
I still can’t help thinking how lucky I am to be living amongst a group of such wonderful girls.
It certainly makes my last year in hall worth it. Thank you my dear girls =)
So as u’re busy mugging (I hope we are) for the exams, know that u’re not alone!
Coz u’ve got a couple of aunties in the same boat as you. hehe.

in the midst of studying (well for some of us, not me tho, i'm slacking^^), we decided to catch stardust with recommendation from ed... she said its really good, and no doubt, its a wonderful show! Its what we all need from time to time, a little fairytale in our lives to keep us hoping, and believing in magic, dreams, love... the stuff of whimsical fantasies that deludes us in society these days.

It was soooo awesome! The storyline, the characters, the comic reliefs, the magicness of it all, and not to mention, the handsome triston, and the warring princes. I really have to state my stand again, ' Angmoh men looks sooooooo yummylicious in long wavy hair!' really, they look so much like the prince charming i picture when i was younger haha, either that or triston just looks really good after that haircut ;)

alright, i shall stop blabbing and let the other girls blog about it... =D

Arm yourself

Prepare your ingredients while gossiping (girls are good at multitasking)

Oil your wok

Add in ginger (that's too much actually)

Add your rice (uncle vincent's dinner rice is fine)

Its good to have a helping hand

Add in eggs and seasoning

Fry it for another 2 minutes to dry up the rice

Garnish it with bacon bits and there you have it, yummy fried rice!!!

Alright, i know it isn't much to look at but first attempt!

i got so hungry watching the making of an omu rice from the tanpopo movie that i decided to make one for supper that night. And it was really super duper easy!

Here's what you need:

Boiled Rice (depending on much you want)

Eggs (also depending on how big you want your omelette to be, 2 will be good)

Ketchup sauce (LOTS OF IT!)

Here's how you go about doing it:

1) Fry the boiled rice for about a minute or two. Add in tomato sauce to taste and color.

2) Beat the eggs in a separate bowl. Pour in into a clean saucepan and start stirring gently. Make sure the fire is on medium heat. Once the eggs has reach a semi solid consistency, gently roll it to the side of the saucepan till it forms a nice shape. Slide it out of the pan and onto the tomato-ed rice after it has been cooked.

3) Slice the omelette in the centre and spread the tomato over it.

4) ENJOY!!!

Its so good and so easy to make! It reminds me of my childhood somehow. Maybe if i have kids next time, i'll definitely make these part of their meals, and maybe pack a few bento lunches with these in it =D
